In following up on my gaslighting posts this week, another thing that I do is pay attention to what I eat.
Since turning vegan it has become clear to me that you really are what you eat, and if you eat CRAP well it goes to figure that you are ... That is not to say that I am not a bit crappy every now and then lol. I do indulge in cake and chocolate and wine and popcorn, and even though it is all vegan, that does not necessarily mean it is healthy.
Now, again, you might wonder what this has to do with gaslighting. Well, if you have fallen victim to a gaslighter, or you still are. Hunny, you are going to need all the strength and clarity you can have. And clean eating has many benefits, including improved brain (and heart) health - just check out the Amen clinic and all their brain scans: amenclinics.com. Clean eating builds a stronger immune system, increases energy levels, weight loss and so much more. So, I do it to stay healthy and strong.
Processed food on the other hand have so much added to it: sugars, sodium and words I cannot even read. All of which can lead to inflammation in the body AND the brain, which may again lead to mood disorders, including anxiety and depression.
So, if we are already dealing with a gaslighter that is making us second-guess everything about ourselves. Then I think it is a good idea to do everything we can to stay strong, mentally and physically. We want our surroundings to be toxic-free, including our food!
I have said it before, and I will say it again. If you are dealing with a gaslighter and you need to talk. I am here. Contact me.
